The group is designed to allow practicing poets and teachers of creative writing to share ideas, information, and work as well as pose questions regarding the practice and teaching of poetry and the world of poetry in NYC and on-line.

Our colleague Joyce Zonana and I will be reading from our recent books at BookMark Shoppe 8415 Third Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn from 7-8 on Thursday September 22nd. Joyce will read from her memoir Dream Homes: From Cairo to Katrina (Feminist Press) and Jim from his new poetry collection Red Walls (Dos Madres Press). Join us for drinks afterword at Cebu, two blocks away at 8801 3rd Avenue.
