As CUNY begins to approach the task of setting up an IR, as mentioned in the OA resolution last fall, I would suggest that anyone who is involved take a close look at Dorothea Salo’s presentation on Slideshare, “Avoiding the Heron’s Way.” Salo has been quite active in the IR world for the past 5-6 years, having published on IR and OA, and, for a number of years, was running the IR at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
