Join the Teaching and Learning Center for our rescheduled “Critical Approaches to Teaching With Web-Based Technologies,” scheduled for Wednesday April 6, from 1-3 pm in room 9206 of the CUNY Graduate Center.

In this workshop we will discuss the advantages of using web based platforms for teaching and how using technology can help strengthen in-class discussion and engagement. Whether you’re looking for a better way to disseminate course material or are curious about how to start interacting more effectively with your students online, this workshop is targeted towards all levels of college teachers who want to learn more about how to introduce technology into their pedagogy.

We’ll start with a conversation about the opportunities and challenges that using web-based technologies present to teaching and then present some creative examples of how people have used free, easy to use platforms to strengthen their pedagogy. We’ll also brainstorm some assignment ideas that participants can implement in their classrooms.

This workshop is also the first in a series of educational technologies workshops led by the TLC. Join us on 4/13 and 4/20 from 1-3 pm for the Social Reading and Social Writing workshops that we will co-facilitate with the Graduate Center Digital Initiatives.
