LaGuardia Humanitarian Initiative
LaGuardia Humanitarian Initiative (LHI), launched in 2020, is an inclusive platform created by and for students, staff, and faculty to help translate pedagogy, classroom learning, and lived experiences into developing national and global projects on human rights and civic engagement. LHI achieves this aim by focusing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and partnering with non-profit organizations—locally, nationally and globally—to support our communities. We provide volunteering and internship opportunities to our students so that they could apply their classroom learning into actions for social change.
LHI welcomes all faculty, staff, students, activists interested in Service Learning pedagogy/co-curricular/community outreach projects to join our effort in creating an inclusive, tolerant, and equitable society. Email us at humani@lagcc.cuny.edu
