Think.Check.Submit. is a newly launched campaign to help researchers identify trusted journals for their work. It does not tell researchers which journals they should submit to, but how to decide if a journal is trusted. I’m very glad to see that it also separates open access from the issue of predatory publishing (a phrase now going out of style) and, to borrow a phrase from Jill and Monica, asks us to go “beyond Beall’s list” and evaluate the journal and its practices.

Check out the website and the recent write-up in Scholarly Kitchen.

What a great campaign, Megan. An excellent and vivid way to publicize this message. Thanks for passing it on.
