Does your position involve current issues in scholarly communication (forms and formats of scholarly contributions, modes of dissemination, economic models of publishing, research evaluation, the dilemma of the Big Deal, etc.)?

That’s actually a trick question: Pretty much every role in academic libraries engages with the ever-evolving scholarly communication ecosystem!

Regardless of your position, if you’re interested in staying on top of scholarly communication developments and sharing skills with like-minded colleagues, the LACUNY Scholarly Communications Roundtable is for you! (Please note that despite similar names, the LACUNY Scholarly Communications Roundtable, which is an interest group open to all, is not the same as the OLS Scholarly Communications Committee, whose members are appointed.)

If you’re interested in participating in the Scholarly Communications Roundtable this year, please fill out this Doodle poll to help us schedule our first meeting of the year:
    https://doodle.com/poll/m27ebqhcitm5v7zf

The agenda of this first meeting will include (but is not limited to):

    – Updates about scholcomm efforts and conversations across CUNY campuses
    – Electing a chair or co-chairs
    – Planning a few events for 2019-2020 (reading group sessions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and/or more formal events)

    Thanks!
    Jill
