Hi all,
We\’re writing to share an opportunity for current students, faculty, and staff at The Graduate Center, CUNY, to apply to learn some digital research skills with GC Digital Initiatives and the GC Digital Fellows for free this January 14-17, during our week-long intensive GC Digital Research Institute (GCDRI). The deadline to apply is THIS FRIDAY, November 30th, before 11:59 PM.
You can view all of our past curricula on the institute website to get a sense of what we teach. Generally we start out by teaching the command line, git and GitHub, and python, and then offer a handful of additional workshops such as: mapping with QGIS, databases, HTML and CSS, digital research ethics, text analysis, and machine learning.
Want to learn more about the experiences of past GCDRI participants? See guest blog posts about it by Sofia Sedergren on \”How Participating in the GCDRI can Develop Your Research\”; by Ayşenur Benevento on \”I Wish I Had Participated in the Digital Research Institute Sooner\”; and by Manuel C. Co Jr. on \”My Experience at the Digital Research Institute 2018\”.

All best,
The GC Digital Fellows
