World of Music 107 (142.9k)   Uploaded by on 7/27/2013

My Hunter College World of Music syllabus, using Terry Miller and Andrew Shahriari's "World of Music: A Global Journey". I would not choose this book if I could help it, but the sections of the book on Southeast and East Asia are quite good and I have learned much from them. The section on the Middle East remains painful to read (The Persian radif is a book? News to me and every Persian musician!), and so I largely present my own material there.

CCNY Music 10100 Sample (51.1k)   Uploaded by Aya Esther Hayashi on 3/26/2013

This follows the format given by the chair of the CCNY Music Department, Dr. Jablonsky. The only significant modifications are the Course Description and Course Outcomes, which were modified after the Music Department participated in the Writing Across the Curriculum Cohort during the 2011-2012 academic year.
