Hello all! we wanted to invite you all to participate in the GIS Day event we’re organizing next week. We intend it to serve as a sort of “after party” for GIS Day at CUNY. It is an ideal opportunity to get together, build our GC mapping community and briefly present our GIS projects to each other, following last year’s successful event.

We’ll have snacks, drinks, and we will also be giving away a limited number of “ArcGIS for Personal Use” codes to fellow participants who need them! Sign up to present here. All presentations welcome, regardless of your level of expertise, topic, or platform.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

    Best,

    Javier & Olivia

    Event information

What: GIS Day @ The GC: Project share and mingle
    When: Thursday, November 14, 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Where: GC Digital Scholarship Lab (Room 7414), The Graduate Center, CUNY

Following the CUNY GIS Day Events (on November 13), the GIS/Mapping Working Group is hosting an “after party” at The Graduate Center, CUNY, on Thursday November 14, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, at the GC Digital Scholarship Lab (Room 7414). It will be an informal opportunity to hear about how CUNY students, faculty and alumni are applying GIS and mapping in their day to day work, research and academic activities. We invite everyone in the CUNY community to share your GIS work or research in any stage that it’s in, and if you aren’t currently using GIS, come and get inspired!

If you would like to present your work or research, please fill out this form.

Snacks and drinks will be provided. Mingling and sharing encouraged.

This event is hosted by the CUNY Academic Commons GIS/Mapping Working Group. cuny.is/gis
