Join the GCDI for a fall Python series exploring various research methods and tools. We will begin by introducing the programming language Python and then continue by practicing and building out core skills through various practical applications, including text analysis with NLTK, data analysis with Pandas, web scraping with Beautiful Soup, and reading data with APIs. This is a workshop series intended for beginners. Sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend certain workshops, but regular participation is encouraged. Knowledge from individual workshops will be strengthened in PUG (Python User Group) sessions, which will run every other Friday from 3–4PM (beginning October 7th). All meetings will be held online synchronously on Zoom, using the regular PUG meeting link: https://gc-cuny-edu.zoom.us/j/85456607308?pwd=aHFxTU5VTStUQTlsdTFRUnRDMkVYQT09#success
