CUNY Games Network

Visit our website at (or by clicking the Visit Blog link on the left).

We connect educators from every campus and discipline at CUNY who are interested in games, simulations, and other forms of interactive teaching. We seek to facilitate the pedagogical uses of both digital and non-digital games, improve student success, and encourage research and scholarship in the developing field of games-based learning.

CUNY Games Network at CUNY IT

  • Dear All,

Next week at the CUNY IT Conference the CUNY Games Network will be giving two presentations. On Thursday Nov. 29th at 2:15pm, Joe Bisz and Frank Crocco (together with BMCC’s Director of E-Learning Janey Flanagan) will discuss “College Quest: A Game-based LMS and Social Network,” an application Joe and Frank helped design for CUNY, partly as a Blackboard alternative. On Friday Nov. 30th at 2:15pm, the Network managers will present “Gaming Across the Curriculum,” a workshop on the principles of GBL, complete with a round of our brainstorming game “What’s Your Game Plan?” Full descriptions are below. We hope to see you there!
