Helen Chen, Calista Kelly and Lourdes Andrade from Stanford along with G. Alex Ambrose from University of Notre Dame provided far more information in their session, “Exploring a Blended Approach to Using ePortfolios to Support Academic Advising at Stanford and Notre Dame Universities,” on using eportfolios for advisement than is available in Helen’s recent article,
“Using E-Portfolios to Support an Undergraduate Learning Career: An Experiment with Academic Advising” in (EDUCAUSE Quarterly). Perhaps most interesting was the process of using eportfolio communication prior to the advisement sessions and the “program map.”
