    BetaNYC is looking for a few students to do part-time work to support our growing operations and Community Boards’ needs.We would love to hire students or others who are looking to develop their civic analytic skills and/or work with or within Community Boards. These two roles have slightly different requirements but are geared towards those who want to develop practical public interest technology experience.

    BetaNYC’s Civic Innovation Lab Assistants will help perform data analysis using GIS, research municipal technology and policies, and run events. You will be instrumental in co-hosting open data trainings throughout the city, maintaining existing projects, and researching and helping build new tools and visualizations.You will work closely with BetaNYC’s Lab Director and Manager to ensure analytical needs are met and get training in various technologies. We’re expecting you to work between 20 to 30 hours a week.     BetaNYC seeks to hire Civic Innovation Consultants to assist Community Boards as Discretionary Actions Consultants. The Discretionary Actions Consultants will report directly to the Community Boards District Manager or their designee, and will work up to 35 hours per week, as necessitated by projects and caseload. You will work closely with BetaNYC’s Executive Director to ensure the Community Board’s needs are met.Your work responsibilities will include late night meetings and you are expected to work in the Community Board District office and with BetaNYC in the Municipal Building at 1 Centre Street, Manhattan.Job description and application => https://beta.nyc/2022/04/05/civic-innovation-consultant-to-support-community-boards/
