*AURA Workshop 2: ‘AI and Archives: Current Challenges and Prospects of
    Digital and Born-digital archives’*

The AURA network, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and
the Irish Research Council, is a network that brings together Digital
Humanists, Computer Scientists and stakeholders (including policy
makers) to apply Artificial Intelligence to archives. The National Archives
and the British Library have collaborated for the network’s second workshop
(which will take place online on 28 and 29 January 2021) entitled ‘AI and
Archives: Current Challenges and Prospects of Digital and Born-digital
archives’. This workshop will explore the current challenges and prospects
of digital and born-digital archives, focusing on access, ethics, emerging
formats and AI by bringing together experts from a range of disciplines,
including archival science, data and computer science and the humanities,
with experts and practitioners from cultural heritage institutions.

*Submit an Expression of Interest by 31 December 2020:*

Those who are interested in joining the workshop should submit an
expression of interest with (i) their name (ii) affiliation (if there is
one), (iii) their role, expertise or area of research and (iv) days of
participation: only on 28/01, only on 29/01 or both days to
    research@nationalarchives.gov.uk by the 31 December 2020.

Early-career researchers and students are strongly encouraged to apply. For
updates and the final workshop programme, see the AURA website:
