    **NEH-Sponsored KairosCamp for DH projects!**

Thanks to a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities,
West Virginia University is hosting the second KairosCamp institute for
authors in the digital humanities. KairosCamp is a hands-on workshop that
helps authors develop their digital humanities projects. This summer, from
June 4-15, participants from different institutions around the nation can
join us on the beautiful Morgantown campus to learn to

    – design their multimedia texts in ways that support their research
    question and technological needs
    – focus on peer-review processes that also impact tenure & promotion
    issues
    – ensure their technology and media choices are suitable for long-term
    sustainability
    – add search optimization and metadata for accessibility and
    preservation purposes
    – and justify their project to their home institutions and disciplines

This institute is a valuable opportunity for scholars nationwide. Past
participants told us KairosCamp was essential to their project’s success,
as the workshop offers a sustained opportunity to learn technological
skills, develop research agendas, and collaborate and interact with
scholars across disciplines. You can read more testimonials from the 2017
workshop on the website at http://www.kairos.camp/ .

All travel, hotel lodging, and most meals are FREE for accepted applicants.
We are now accepting applications for this year’s workshop. (Individuals
and very small teams are welcome to apply.) The deadline is March 1, 2018.
Authors interested in participating can find guidelines at
