To: Institute@lists.uvic.ca <Institute@lists.uvic.ca>
Dear colleagues,
The Endings Project (https://endings.uvic.ca/) is a five-year project
funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (
SSHRC (http://www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca/)) that is creating tools, principles,
policies and recommendations for digital scholarship practitioners to
create accessible, stable, long-lasting resources in the humanities.
We have organized a symposium to be held on Zoom in two-hour sessions *on
April 15, 19, 22 and 26,* 2021. This event will bring together eight of
the DH practitioners we interviewed in depth to talk about their
experiences and insights into digital longevity.
The program and presentation abstracts are available here
(https://endings.uvic.ca/symposium.html).
The Zoom link will be sent to those who register through eventbrite
(https://www.eventbrite.com/e/project-resiliency-in-the-digital-humanities-tickets-147616762711).
(Please note that only April 26 will appear on the eventbrite ticket but
registration will apply to all four sessions.)
If you have questions about the symposium, please write to ccarlin@uvic.ca.
