    To: <institute@lists.uvic.ca>

    Good morning,

I’m writing to share an internship opportunity with the podcast High Theory
(http://hightheory.net/). Please email hightheorypod@gmail.com with any
    questions.

High Theory is a podcast that presents critical theory to a public
audience. We ask simple questions about difficult ideas from the academy.
The podcast is being re-launched on the New Books Network and we seek *two*
motivated interns to help expand our audience and our reach into STEM
    topics.

This is a paid internship for students sharing our interest in humanities
and podcasting, and we are looking for individuals with social media acumen
to help with this re-launch. We request that you listen to the podcast (
http://www.hightheory.net) before applying. Knowledge of the specific topics we
cover is not required, but interest in these topics and the podcast form is
necessary to your own happiness in this internship.

Duties will include preparing and reviewing episode transcripts, running
our Twitter account during the re-launch, starting an Instagram, and
reviving our Patreon. We will teach you how to record/edit audio and (if
desired) host a podcast on your own website. We expect you to help us
choose researchers to interview for the High Theory in STEM series and
conduct at least one of these interviews.

The period of this internship is April – July 2022, during which *each*
intern will receive a stipend of $500 per month, for a total of $2,000.

To apply, please submit a brief cover letter (1 page or less) explaining
your relevant interests and experience, and a current CV or resume. The
cover letter should be addressed to the hosts of High Theory. All materials
should be sent via email to hightheorypod@gmail.com

Review of applications will begin immediately. We hope to conduct
interviews during the week of 3/21 and begin onboarding the week of 3/28.
