    Dear Colleagues,

    The Critical Digital Humanities Initiative (CDHI) at the University of
    Toronto is seeking a limited-term (though April 2024), full time Managing

    The CDHI was launched in early 2021 as an Institutional Strategic
    Initiative to enable trans-disciplinary collaborations that emphasize
    questions of power, social justice, and critical theory in digital
    humanities research. Emerging from the multi-year work of the Digital
    Humanities Network, the CDHI’s vision is to harness the tools of the
    digital revolution to forge a new paradigm of critical humanities
    scholarship, one that bridges the humanities’ emphasis on power and culture
    in historical perspective with the tools and analysis of digital technology.

    The Managing Director who will be senior administrative member of the CDHI
    team and will play a pivotal leadership role in the strategic development
    and management of the initiative. The Program Lead will ensure oversight of
    CDHI’s staff and resources on a daily basis; oversee the planning and
    delivery of CDHI initiatives; implement and evaluate strategic short- and
    long-term plans and projects that support the mission of the CDHI,
    including building a network of digital humanities scholars across the
    University’s three campuses, amplifying research and translation impact,
    establishing programming to support innovative digital humanities training
    opportunities, and establishing a sustainability plan for the CDHI.
