Digital Humanities Initiative

The CUNY Digital Humanities Initiative (CUNY DHI), launched in Fall 2010, aims to build connections and community among those at CUNY who are applying digital technologies to scholarship and pedagogy in the humanities. All are welcome: faculty, students, and technologists, experienced practitioners and beginning DHers, enthusiasts and skeptics.

We meet regularly on- and offline to explore key topics in the Digital Humanities, and share our work, questions, and concerns. See our blog for more information on upcoming events (it’s also where we present our group’s work to a wider audience). Help edit the CUNY Digital Humanities Resource Guide, our first group project. And, of course, join the conversation on the Forum.

Announcing JITP Issue 2!

  • We proudly announce the launch of the second issue of the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy (JITP), including our exciting new “Behind the Seams” feature! JITP is working hard to generate a conversation online in order to become the premier site for academic work on teaching and learning with interactive technology, therefore we encourage you to comment in response to an author’s ideas.

The journal can now be reached at a convenient shortcut url: JITPedagogy.org.

Additionally, we would like to remind you that due to Hurricane Sandy we have extended the Issue 3 deadline to November 15th, and we are delighted to announce that the submission deadline for Issue 4 will be April 15th, 2013. As always, we thank you for helping us spread the word about our upcoming issues via your favorite scholarly communication networks. You should also feel free to provide feedback to the Editorial Collective by contacting us at communications@jitpedagogy.org or messaging us on Twitter @JITPedagogy.
