I was doing some work for my department’s office and wondered if there was something other than Excel that departments are using to manage student information and to generate reports. One report I was looking at included dates on exams and concentrations, while another had pretty much the same data but with other attributes about the student. Included on one report was a breakdown of students by demographic. I wonder if folks have used any desktop applications or web applications that might help APOs manage this data. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Of course, it would be great if the solution was free and open source.
