We’re offering a special workshop next week at Queens College, on the Reacting to the Past pedagogy, in which students play elaborate games set in the past, informed by classic texts. Deep learning is instigated by a combination of factors, including the student-led design, the oral presentation demands of the format, and the gaming elements that serve to motivate performance.
We think the best way to learn about this pedagogy is to play a game, so I’m writing to invite you (and any interested faculty from your campus) to join Queens College members of the Reacting to the Past community to play part of the game The Threshold of Democracy: Athens in 403 BC. For more details:
(We will take RSVPs after the posted date of April 27. We can also try to arrange parking if you will be driving to Queens — if so, please send me your vehicle’s specs: model, year, color, plate number, state.)
Best wishes,
