    Hello All,

The SUNY COIL conference and call for proposals registration site is now open – to register, please visit http://coil.suny.edu/conference.

Since CUNY is the conference host and lead sponsor, a limited number of CUNY faculty and staff will receive registrations at a special CUNY rate (details at http://www.cvent.com/events/10th-anniversary-coil-conference/fees-809681b568094394b962de0d5a1038b0.aspx). However, because this is a relatively small conference that’s designed in part to foster international connections, CUNY (and SUNY) registrants will be eventually be capped to ensure an appropriate distribution of attendees. Therefore, early registration is recommended. If you attempt to register after the cap has been imposed, please send me an email—I can’t promise results, but depending on the overall numbers I may be able to work something out.

The conference organizers have emphasized that they would welcome proposals from CUNY faculty and staff, and based on the survey we conducted, we do have some people with COIL experience to share. If you are looking to put together a panel, please feel free to use this listserv and/or the Academic Commons group to find collaborators. If you haven’t already completed the survey, it has been moved to http://ybephbsyus.formstack.com/forms/coilsurvey.

    Thank you,
    Kim
