Interesting. That seems more “mini” than what we were thinking, but I bet people presenting at/attending this one would also be interested in a bigger one in the future….
Yes, the Lehman mini is much more mini. My sense is that for Fall 2011 (looking at a Spring 2013 date) we should complete four basic tasks:
1) locate a sponsor or sponsors (George promises to put us in touch with the Center for Digital Education;
2) secure a date and venue (KCC and Macaulay are choices;
3) pull together our dedicated core of leadership;
4) decide on scope and size.
The scope and size of the mini-conference clearly will be a function of sponsorship and venue. We decided at the CAT meeting that in the first year we would limit our scope to CUNY with the possibility of reaching out to SUNY in subsequent years.
