The end of the term has been a very busy time for many of us. Especially at Kingsborough, the flurry of activities and pace have been amplified by a large number of retirement parties and receptions. Nontheless, if subcommittee members would like to touch base via GoToMeeting, I can schedule one or two sessions tomorrow at noon and at 3:00. Let me know and I will post the contact. But also, please do post to this forum any pending business or suggestions.
For all CAT members, the final agenda for the 2011 AAEEBL ePortfolio World Summit, to be held in Boston from July 25-28, has been posted: http://www.aaeebl.org/eportfolio_world_summit2011. The Summit will be preceded by a Connect to Learning workshop. And, the option of publishing in the new peer-reviewed journal, The International Journal of ePortfolio (IJeP), has been added. Guidelines for submission are available on the AAEEBL Summit site.
You may wish to post important topics you wish to see addressed on the forum or on our ePortfolio wiki. Of special interest is the continuing discussion of ePortfolios and assessments, following up on Joe Ugoretz’s blog as mentioned at our last meeting. http://prestidigitation.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
We had discussed at our last meeting a group response to Darren Cambridge’s call for nominations to the Experts Shaping Transatlantic Eportfolio Policy panel, at Bill Bernhardt’s urging. George put the letter up in the CAT documents. I may have been the only person nominating anyone — I suggested the obvious: Bret Eynon at LaGuardia. It would be good to learn about any follow-up and/or outcomes on this item.
