    We have our last two speakers of the semester coming through the sociology department and you’re all invited to join these talks, either in person or online. Here are the details:

     

    • Wednesday, 5/3 from 12:00-1:15pm:  James (JT) Thomas, Professor at University of Mississippi and co-editor of Sociology of Race and Ethnicity journal, will be our May Sociology Days’ Colloquium Series guest, presenting about his work Whiteness in Crisis on in the Hunter Sociology Conference Room and via zoom.
    • Tuesday, 5/9, 2:30-3:45pm, Janet Hallet-Garcia, who is our Charles Green Annual Lecture Series Speaker, and a Hunter alumni and current Assistant Professor University of New Haven, who will be talking about her new book, Invisible Mothers, which explores motherhood post-incarceration.  The lecture will be in the 8th Floor, Faculty Lounge and via zoom.
