CUNY is a part of a national network of 48 colleges and universities that have been organized through a think-tank called New America to establish a new field called “Public Interest Technology” (PIT).

CUNY is hosting the convening of the network, in person, on October 28th and 29th 2022.

We are looking to hire 5 scribes who can attend both days of the event from 9:30 AM – 4PM.

Day 1: Friday, October 28th will be held at the CUNY Graduate Center
Day 2: Saturday, October 29th is being hosted by the College of Staten Island at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Gardens on Staten Island.

Scribes will be responsible for capturing participants’ responses during a variety of workshops and authentic encounters throughout the two days.

Scribes should have skills in note-taking, transcription, good listening skills, proactive facilitation works well with groups.

    Notes will be maintained electronically.

Scribes will also be part of building social media presence during the event and establishing an archive of notes for use after the event.

Must commit to working both days and be available for follow-up after the event.

Scribes will receive $600 for their role in this event.

Please visit: https://pitcases.org to learn more about PIT & New America.
