What actions in Oedipus the King were fated?

In Oedipus the King, many things were fated. In Thebes the place where Oedipus and his family would call home is being ruled by someone named Creon. Creon had killed his brother Polynices while in a battle to try and kill each other. He was being stubborn and refused to Bury his brother’s body. Then his sisters Ismene and Antigone had disagreed with his decision, so Antigone tried to burry her brother Polynices. When Creon found out he was livid and decided to leave her in the tomb alive. Antigone is married to her brother’s son Heamon. Creon feels some regret and on his way to free his sister Heamon finds her hung by a rope and it drives him to kill himself and with that knowledge it drives Eurydice his wife to kill herself because of what her husband has done and so now Creon is wishing for his death. In addition Oedipus is told that he killed his father Lurias and married his mother Jocasta. Oedipus was not sure of it but he knew that the people who were called his parents were not his real parents. Therefore, analyzing this play it shows that the fate is death and incest within the kingdom. Creon kills his own brother and refuses to bury him, then in Attempt to bury Polynice, Antigone, Creon’s sister is sent to the tomb where she’s found dead by her husband and also the Creon’s son. The fate of death is trailed in this story. Incest by Heamon and Antigone, a nephew and his aunt. Additionally, Oedipus kills his father and marries his mother, death and incest, therefore their entire family could have been children made from incest their grandmother and father. The fate that incest happens can be chose but in the time is also common because royal people tried to marry their family to keep royalty within the blood line. Death is fate because you do live and die, but these people are brutally murdered or committing suicide.
