I wanted to ask if anyone on this forum could assist with the following request on behalf of a colleague at QCC:

We are looking for software that allows us to track curriculum changes through a set of steps each of which could be approved or denied. For example, a change will go through these steps before being added to the catalog:

    1. Proposed by an academic department
    2. OAA approval
    3. Approved by the Curriculum Committee of the Academic Senate (or sent back to the department for revisions)
    4. Approved by the Academic Senate
    5. Approved by CUNY
    6. Approved by NYSED, but only in some cases

One the changes are approved, we’d like them to feed into an electronic catalog document.

There are commercial vendors who sell this type of software. One that looks promising is DIGARC (https://www.digarc.com(https://www.digarc.com/)). We’d probably want their CURRICULOG and ACALOG products. Note that they integrate with PeopleSoft. Ideally, fully approved changes would be automatically added to CUNY First.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Michael
