Hi all, I’m putting together a library of publications for the research group I am part of. So far I have been categorizing and tagging posts with information on and a link to an article or book. However, I’m running into trouble with allowing a visitor to easily search and sort through the posts. There are nearly 100, so not HUGE, but a bit set of posts. I found this type of library search, http://unu.edu/publications/articles, and here is another, http://resourcecentre.savethechildren.se/ Any suggestions for how to create this would be be much appreciated.

Hi Bijan – I think we’ll probably need to look for a plugin that will accomplish something like this. I took a quick look at the WP Plugin Repository and searched under “Ajax Search.” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=ajax+search). There are a number of options there – this one seems kind of nice –
https://wordpress.org/plugins/indexisto/ – but it all depends on which features you’ll really like. Most I think incorporate a “live” search that auto-completes with available selections. Once we find one that you really like, I can put in a request to have it installed.

Thanks for this lead, Scott! This was helpful. I also found TablePress in the available plugins list and was able to make it work for the time being. I’m going to bring the option of an Ajax Search back to my group to see which would suit us best.
