I hate to agree with Justice Scalia on anything, but I’d say he’s right.

It doesn’t even look like pizza!

I’m surprised Scalia didn’t call it an “Obamination”!

And no, deep-dish pizza is not really pizza — not even close.

Anyone want to consult a historical dictionary of Italian?

After living in Chicago for 3 years, I can safely say with experience that deep dish is NOT pizza. It is pie. It takes hours to bake, costs a fortune, and one slice will fill you up for roughly a week. That said, it can be delicious. I am interested in some authentic NY style! Where do I find the original NY slice?

Also not sure why a Sicilian would be expected to be a pizza expert (let alone a pizza traditionalist!). It’s sort of like asking a Washingtonian what “real” BBQ tastes like.
