Thanks to everyone who came out for a wonderful first meeting on Wednesday night. We had a very nice turn-out, and it was especially gratifying to see a range of interests, disciplines, and experiences among the attendees.
We wanted to pass along this note from Steve Brier, who co-chairs the Digital Studies Group (CUNY DHI is a subgroup of the DSG):

Comrades: It is important that each of the members of the DSG (and of the Digital Humanities sub-group) officially “join” the DSG seminar via the Center for the Humanities website, per the directions below from Katherine Carl, the new CfH person in charge of helping build the seminars:
“On a logistical note, right now there are only a few participants signed up through the website. Could you please ask your participants to register at the site: http://centerforthehumanitiesgc.org/seminars so that they can access the readings. Also we are sending out an email to your group from last year to ask them to register. As soon as you have readings for the October 22nd and November 17th sessions just email them to Ana cc’d here and she’ll post them on the site.”
