    >
    > The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Educator, Public Engagement. The Assistant Educator, Public Engagement works as part of a team to provide a wide range of facilitated experiences and discursive programs for adults both inside and outside of the Museum. Programs will often connect to the Museum exhibitions and collection and use a range of strategies to engage adult audiences with art. These include but are not limited to artmaking and writing, conversation, close looking and facilitated discussion, workshops, performance, with a focus on utilizing the power of art and artists to effect individual and social transformation.

    > Specific responsibilities include:
    >
    > -Provides coordination and administrative support for virtual and live exhibition-related public programming, including travel, hospitality, and all related event logistics.
    > -Liaises between departments to advance program production, marketing, and promotional needs where appropriate.
    > -Manages and organizes supplies and other needs for on-site events.
    > -Provides on-site support during programs, including some weekends and evenings.
    > -Maintains public programming communication with the general public through email and phone inquiries.
    > -Organizes public programming marketing newsletters, coordinating with editorial, membership, and social media colleagues.
    > -Contributes to the development of new and existing relationships with cultural partners.
    > -Participates in the research and development of new and current exhibition-related programs.
    > -Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.

    > Requirements:
    >
    > -Bachelor’s degree and one to two years relevant experience in public program production or project management for adult audiences in a museum setting or equivalent combination.
    > -Bilingual Spanish (preferred).
    > -Experience coordinating events for adult or student audiences and incorporating feedback into program design.
    > -Exceptional time-management and personal organization skills.
    > -Proactive communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    > -Ability to demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment.
    >
    > Fully vaccinated with a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and/or the World Health Organization authorized vaccine (or approved for an exemption as a reasonable accommodation due to a qualified disability or sincerely held religious belief or other legal basis).
