Research Assistant w/ Programming Skills

    Programmer/Research assistant wanted for research into the effects of race, ethnicity, and income on exposure to and production of environmental contamination. Research will replicate an existing study with new data sets. Programmer will adapt and debug pre-existing code in Go (programming language) and run a pipeline data analysis composed of Go scripts.     REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Go programming language or ability to learn quickly
    • Experience navigating, understanding, and contributing to large codebases
    • Experience with Protobufs
    • Self-starter and self-organized; able to take ownership of work, handle tasks in parallel, and follow up with minimal oversight

    5-10 hrs/wk (flexible), $25/hr, paid through CUNY Research Foundation. Research based in New York but can work remotely.
