    Good afternoon.

I just joined your group on Cuny Academic Commons.
My name is Iuri Moscardi and I am a PhD student at the Graduate Center.
I joined the group following prof. Matt Gold’s suggestion: he is part of my dissertation committee, and he believes that I would benefit from this group.
I would like to learn more about R and how to use it for the analysis of some data (a corpus of tweets), which I aim to analyze in my dissertation. I was thinking to employ R for this project.
Could you please tell me what kind of activities this group organize and how I can join them (online or in person)?
    Thank you very much,

    Iuri Moscardi

    Hi Iuri,

Welcome! We typically have biweekly working group meetings during the semester, which just ended for this semester. We will be starting them again in February so do look out for our posts. These will likely be held online.

In the meantime, we also have a Slack workspace that you can join, and it is also a great place to post questions and get some help/support from others in the community. You can join us at: https://join.slack.com/t/cuny-rug/shared_invite/zt-zoamdbmt-cq1djdnjmJDBzjpZLj0guw

Alternatively, you can also request a 30 minute consultation with the digtial fellows during the semester (our consultation form closes this Friday for the semester). To do that, you will just need to fill in a short form: http://cuny.is/gcdi-consults

    Di
