Boundary Classification

    Here is a rudimentary classification of what constitutes a boundary based on the info and observations we have.

    A major boundary is defined by the historic presence of earthquakes, as all boundaries appear to have them in some capacity. Each category may be modified by how frequent earthquakes are on that boundary (possibly by adding a number after the classification).

    Below this we can define boundaries in a more granular fashion.
    S:Boundaries where seafloor spreading can be observed
    VC: Boundaries with prominent volcanic activity on continental crust
    VO: Boundaries with prominent volcanic activity on oceanic crust and islands
    T: Boundaries along mountain chains
    E: Boundaries with extremely high distribution of earthquakes along each side of the fault

    I think these can be expanded upon, but these are fairly comprehensive of the Earth’s boundaries as defined by the maps.
