Tom Johnson

Music Theory PhD Student

I am a second year PhD student. My current research interests include the intersection of semiotics and genre in pop/rock music. My MA thesis (University of Washington, 2013) was a smorgasbord of analyses on music ranging from Stockhausen’s Kreuzspiel to mashups.
