Hello Colleagues,
I’d like to invite you to a special event at the Schwartz Communication Institute at Baruch this coming Thursday. I hope that you will join myself and members of the Institute’s staff for a lunchtime conversation about trends in educational technology with journalist Audrey Watters. Audrey is a major voice in technology journalism and is among the few journalists who fairly and accurately captures the ethos of the open education movement. She has written for a host of print and web publications including Inside Higher Ed, NPR/KQED’s education technology blog MindShift, O’Reilly Radar, The Huffington Post, The School Library Journal, ReadWriteWeb, Edutopia, and on her own blog, Hack Education (http://hackeducation.com). A brief bio and links to her most recent articles in Inside Higher Ed (including her Top Ed Tech Trends of 2012 series) are here: http://www.insidehighered.com/users/audrey-watters
When: Thursday, 2/21, 12pm
Where: Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute, Baruch College. 137 E. 25th St., Rm 323.
