Hello members of the LACUNY Scholarly Communications Roundtable!

After a busy year (five events in the “Information Interventions @ CUNY” series!), it’s time for a meeting to take stock, look ahead, and elect a new chair or co-chairs. (Maura and I loved co-chairing the roundtable for two years but feel it’s time to move on. Feel free to contact either one of us if you have questions about what chairing it was like.)

If you’re interested in chatting about the current state and future goals of the Scholarly Communications Roundtable and/or interested in running or voting for (co-)chair, please fill out this doodle poll. (Note: The “(Yes)” option in parentheses is for indicating “Not ideal, but yes if need be.”)

(If there’s no time at which a critical mass of people can attend, we’ll figure out some kind of online voting mechanism instead.)

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

And we have a winner! Please join us for the end-of-year Scholarly Communications Roundtable meeting and election on Wednesday, June 4 at 10am. We’ll probably have the meeting at the Graduate Center in Room C196.05 — we’ll confirm the location soon.

Apologies to those for whom this time doesn’t work. There was no time that works for everyone, and this was the one that works for the most.

Between now and then, please think about whether you’d like to run for chair or co-chair!

    Jill
