At our last LACUNY SCRT meeting on January 23, 2015, we discussed the possibility of co-sponsoring the spring alt-metrics event with the John Jay Office for the Advancement of Research (OAR). OAR had approached Marta Bladek (JJ), one of the speakers we were planning to invite to our event, to also speak at JJ on alt-metrics. Marta asked OAR if they would consider co-sponsoring the event with us. OAR will take care of all of the logistics. We simply have to help spread the word. The event is tentatively scheduled for April 23rd in the 9th floor conference room at John Jay. Time and additional speakers are yet to be determined by OAR.
