Hi All,
Good news! Joanna Thompson, of BMCC, has volunteered to serve as the co-chair of SCRT, with Jill stepping down.

Hi Beth,
Shareyourpaper.org is a fantastic resource built with researchs’ needs in mind, and I’ve chatted with Joe to learn more about their data sources, etc. I’d love to see us implement this in the repository down the line, but it’s not feasible in our current environment. In the meantime, I share it as a resource in my faculty workshops and…[Read more]

Hi ScholComm Roundtablers,
Last week at the GC I gave an introductory workshop on the role of citations in the scholarly conversation, and this week I co-led one about citation-based metrics with the wonderful NYU librarian Margaret Smith. Thanks, Nancy! I’ll just add that co-chairing SCRT is a great way to ensure that scholcomm-minded folks around CUNY have an opportunity to share ideas and successes, and also a great way to contribute to the CUNY collective knowledge about scholcomm. Curious about a new tool, unclear about the nuances of another, unsure what you think about…[Read more]
