    Hello everyone!
    This has been such a great community, both online and through the workshops I’ve enjoyed attending. I am a doctoral student in anthropology, and I’m interested in acquiring some basic skill in coding with HTML. Can anyone recommend a resource for learning this in NYC?

    I’ve found some options that seem viable (online such as Codeacademy) and also in person (like General Assembly) that seem expensive. Anything that you would recommend, preferably cheap or free? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Anders,

    There are a number of workshops run at the GC by the digital fellows, the
    library, the JustPublics@365 project. Workshop events are aggregated here –
    http://gcdi.commons.gc.cuny.edu/events/

    Here is a list of recent and forthcoming workshops run by the GC Digital
    Fellows:

    We send notifications of these workshops out by email to all EOs and APOs;
    if your program hasn’t been circulating, you may want to ask your program
    to send them out.

    Best,

    Matt
