Hunter Day of DigPed Keynote: Jack Dougherty (Trinity College)

    As part of our day-long Day of Digital Pedagogy event on Tuesday, May 5th, ACERT ACERT, the center for teaching and learning at Hunter College, is pleased to welcome Jack Dougherty (Professor of Educational Studies, Trinity College) to give a talk, “Web Writing and Data Visualization in Liberal Arts Pedagogy.”

    Professor Dougherty is author of the award-winning More Than One Struggle: The Evolution of School Reform in Milwaukee (University of North Carolina Press, 2004) and has co-written and co-edited several influential open-access volumes on digital humanities scholarship and pedagogy.

    His talk will feature work from his most recent open-access volume, Web Writing: Why and How for Liberal Arts Teaching and Learning (University of Michigan Press, 2015), and his work-in-progress, Data Visualization for All.

    The talk will take place from 5:30-7 on Tuesday, May 3rd in the Chanin Center Insdorf Screening and Club Room, B126 Hunter West at the 68th Street campus. It will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. Open to the public; please RSVP via this form.
