We hope you will be able to join us for our final guest speaker of the year, Tim McCormack. As usual, the meeting will be held from 6:30 – 8:30pm on Monday, May 13th, in room 5409. As usual, all newcomers and oldtimers are welcome and food will be provided.

Dr. McCormack describes the session as follows:
“What’s new in New, Critical, Performance, Participant, Lived Experience Ethnography”

This session of the GCCRC study group, led by Tim McCormack, assistant professor at John Jay College, will consider a sampling of critical methods for ethnographic research, and WE will work on a rhetorical analysis of the writing moves of ethnographic writing hit makers like Heath, Kozol, Gilyard, Goodall, Sternglass and Chiseri-Strater. No pre-reading necessary. Bring a pen, some highlighters and an active brain.

We hope to see you there!
    Cheers,

    Andrew Lucchesi and Amanda Licastro
