CUNY Council of Chief Librarians

Private Group active 9 months, 1 week ago

The CUNY Council of Chief Librarians develops policies and guidelines that enhance the use and effectiveness of library services throughout CUNY’s libraries. These libraries function as cooperative entities supporting the missions of their individual colleges. The Council of Chief Librarians develops cooperative policies and services, exchanges information, and recommends deployment of new technologies to improve library services. Further, it functions as CUNY’s Discipline Council on Libraries and advises CUNY’s Office of Library Services on policies and procedures related to priorities and goals for centrally administered or funded CUNY-wide library activities. The Council is committed to maximizing access to resources and providing services to support teaching, learning, research, and scholarship at the City University of New York.
